The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) initiative designed to help households afford essential broadband services for work, school, healthcare, and more. Through this program, eligible households can receive a monthly discount on internet services and a one-time discount to purchase a tablet from participating providers, like Free Gov Wireless, with a small contribution toward the device cost. ACP benefits are limited to one monthly service discount and one device discount per household. To qualify, household income must be at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines, or at least one household member must participate in programs like SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, Federal Public Housing Assistance, Veterans and Survivors Pension Fund, or Lifeline. ACP services remain available as long as the FCC funds the program. Any device or SIM provided will be yours to keep. Eligibility is verified using the Universal Service Administrative Company’s National Verifier and National Lifeline Accountability Database or another FCC-approved process.
